Assistance with housing available East Wimmera Health Service provides quality acute, aged and community health across five dynamic campuses at Birchip, Charlton, Donald, St Arnaud and Wycheproof. Each campus services a vibrant provincial community.
Due to a resignation, EWHS is seeking applications for the General Manager Clinical position which is an important role. This position provides the operational management for nursing services across the health service and works closely with the General Manager Community Health.
Initially providing coverage for long service leave commencing 26 March 2012, this role will become permanent full time as of 24 September 2012 and is based at the St Arnaud campus.
Reporting directly to the Director Clinical and Community Health you are required to have extensive management experience and a high level of professional knowledge. Superior leadership and communication skills are essential as is a passion for and experience in quality improvement of health services.
Further essential knowledge, skills and attributes include:
• A Registered Nurse currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• A working knowledge of acute and aged care funding principles.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare service provision and management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Excellent analysis, reporting and writing skills.
