Flood Recovery Support Worker

Full time – Fixed term 12 months

The Flood Recovery Support Program (FRSP) was established in response to the recent Victorian floods. The program will provide an individualised service response to flood-affected people, assisting with their practical and personal recovery needs

Importantly this program will be implemented alongside the usual core services operating in flood-affected areas. Establishing and maintaining strong links between the FRSP and the existing service system will be critical to its success.

To apply for the role it is essential that you have a:

• Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Psychology, Diploma of Community Welfare Work or relevant qualification or experience.
• Good understanding of the needs and issues for people who have been affected by trauma and emergencies and a comprehensive knowledge of the range of generic and specialist service options available including health, welfare and educational services and structure.
• Current Victorian Driver’s License
